Visual Basic 2005 How to Program, 3/e and Visual C# 2005 How to Program, 2/e

Visual Basic 2005 How to Program, 3/e and Visual C# 2005 How to Program, 2/e will include:

  • Comprehensive coverage of object-oriented programming
  • Discussions of more advanced topics such as ASP.NET, ADO.NET and Web services
  • New topic coverage of partial classes, generics, the My namespace and Visual Studio's updated debugger
  • Updated XML coverage that uses the new classes of the System.Xml namespace

Both textbooks feature an easy-to-follow, carefully developed object-oriented programming approach. Each new concept is presented in the context of a complete working program that is followed by sample executions showing the program's inputs and outputs—Deitel's standard live-code approach. The code examples are syntax colored and code highlighted to make it easy for readers to locate a program's new features. Tips are also provided to instill proper coding conventions or caution readers against common errors. The UML is also featured throughout the texts.

Both books continue to cover the following core programming topics:

Collections GUI Networking
Data structures Web controls Graphics
Assemblies Events File processing with serialization
Namespaces Delegates Bit and character manipulation
Exception handling Multithreading Regular expressions
